about Coach on his 40th birthday:

1. The way he taught the boys to ride their bikes this summer.
2. That he took our crying infants to Steak-n-Shake at 3am to let me sleep.
3. That he no longer thinks basketball shorts are appropriate to wear on a plane.
4. That he thinks Bruce Springsteen is the most amazing performer, ever.
5. That everyone from his high school adores him.
6. That his ex girlfriends begged me to let him dance with them at his reunion.
7. That he loves exotic food, but enjoys a big cup of Folgers in the morning.
8. That I've never seen him drunk.
9. That he is in amazing physical shape and works out religiously.
10. That he's religious.
11. That he's never too tired to be with our boys.
12. That he eats a half gallon of ice cream every night.
13. That he works really hard at being affectionate.
14. That he never complains about the house not being perfect.
15. That he cares so much about other people's feelings.
16. That he roots for the underdog.
17. That he checks his temper.
18. That he can't make animal noises for the children without sounding ridiculous.
19. That he drove the same car for longer than you can imagine.
20. That he never throws anything away.
21. That he seriously tries to solve the crimes on CSI.
22. That he is impressed by technology.
23. That he has the same friends forever.
24. That he is kind to my family.
25. That he takes the boys to school in the morning.
26. That he listens when I talk.
27. That he never forgets anything I say.
28. That he pretends I am not completely insane.
29. That he loves his job.
30. That he lost his job once and it didn't break his spirit.
31. That he wants other people to be happy and successful.
32. That he is afraid of dogs but won't admit it.
33. That he reads my blog.
34. That he is consistent and steady.
35. That he takes his lunch every day even though I know he is sick of it.
36. That he is quiet.
37. That he is HOT.
38. That he lets me drive.
39. That I treated him like dog meat for months and he stuck it out until I fell in love with him.
40. That he's been kissing me and me only for 10 years.
