Observations

For those of you who don't follow Twitter, many fashionistas take pictures of their OOTD (outfit of the day) or OOTN (outfit of the night) and post the details of the designer clothing. I think it's terribly funny to do this when you are me, because the only designer clothes I own are the black sweats that I spilled bleach on and subsequently colored in the spot with black Sharpie. House of Sharpie. hee hee

But in looking throught the last 10 or so pics I have posted, I have some observations. Not surprisingly, so does my mother.

1. I need a full length mirror. Turning the Blackberry sideways is the only way I can fit more in the picture.

2. I need another cardi like I need a hole in my head. Suburban soccer moms wear cardis but I think I've reached my limit. Although I am jonesing for a true orange cardi...and maybe a kelly green one...and...I digress

3. My Blackberry takes horrible pictures. I need an iPhone. STAT!

4. Clearly I need to break free of the black pants. I just counted 11 pair in my closet. This is an issue.

My mother's observation:

"You look cute. But you're worrying me with the pictures in the weird bathrooms. Love, Mom"

I love this. Is it bad that the only "designer" clothes I own too are black sweat pants with bleach stains?!?

Next time at the tweet up can we please sit at the same end of the table and get a chance to chat?!?!?

Please, who cares about those designer clothes, your outfits are adorable!

..And why have I never thought to use a sharpie before? Genius!

Love it!!! I have been wanting to do a "mom on a budget outfit of the day" post for months but just don't have the nerve. The fashionistas crack me up! Love your transparency!!!

House of Sharpie for the win. Specifically, my button popped off my $29 Express blazer while traveling for work this summer and I could only hunt down red thread to sew it on, so I colored the thread black with a Sharpie. Always carry a sharpie.

This is why I love you!!! You make me laugh girl. Yep, who cares about designer - takes more effort and talent to look adorable every day when you're working with Old Navy attire and Target specials (like me!)!

I'm not even going to confess how many pairs of black pants I have, how many pairs of black shoes I have, or how many black t-shirts I have.

I do need some details on the turquoise necklace shown with the yellow cardi and the leopard print blouse, please.
