IKEA Part 2/3 and the Extra Day

Leap Day 2012 resulted in a breakfast table, duh. Credit to the BFF for coming up with the theme of 29 February being the "extra" day. The minis were granted :

EXTRA gum
EXTRA playtime
EXTRA special dinner
EXTRA reading time
EXTRA late bedtime
After they left for school, I decided to tackle the bookshelf from the last post.

Then I rewarded myself with an extremely rare burger and a beer with a friend. That's how I roll lately. I self medicate with beer and red meat.
When the boys got home from school, Jack examined my work and (mostly) approved.

Then I mowed the lawn.
Where's my medal?

You're amazing, lady! I love the breakfast table and the fun theme you did for your kids. You're truly such a wonderful and fun mom. I'm also impressed by your "carpenter" skills; Ikea is not easy stuff!

You rock! Special breakfast and building a book shelf all in one day!

Lol I love that you posted updates and said that your manicure was annoyed :)

I could never put something like that together without messing it up. You did a great job! My husband loves doing stuff like that, he calls it "adult legos" and would probably get mad if I took away his building fun anyway.

OK, probably weird of me to say, but I liked hearing your voice! :)Even though I comment once in awhile on the blog, and send you a tweet here and there, it's cool to hear you. Makes it more real. I don't know. Hopefully you're not like "Weird-o!" :)

Great job on the bookshelf. I'm thinking of starting a campaign to bring IKEA to Charleston! Ha!

Wow, it's so weird hearing your voice after reading your blog for years. I thought you would sound really young and bubbly but you sound so mature and much older than I thought!
